PROTECTING BABY TEETH AND PREVENTING DECAY

Children’s Dental Care Inc. isn’t your typical dental practice. When you visit our office, you’ll find a fun, colorful, welcoming, and friendly space that your kids will love to visit. Our expert pediatric dentist has completed additional training beyond that of a regular dentist. Dr. Taylor-Griffith specializes in diagnosing and treating the dental concerns of children, from babies right through to teens. We also use Panorex digital X-rays, a low-dose radiation alternative with no lead shield required. This is a kid-friendly alternative to regular X-rays as it’s important to us that we keep your children safe.

We have a strong focus on prevention. Keeping your children's teeth healthy from a young age can have a significant impact on their long-term oral health. On the flipside, untreated dental problems can become major dental issues in adulthood that can be complicated (and expensive) to fix.

Preventive Care

REGULAR CHECKS REDUCE LONG-TERM PROBLEMS

Children’s Dental Care Inc. provides a comprehensive range of preventive care dental treatments for your children. Even though baby teeth don’t stay forever, they play an important role in your child’s long-term oral health. It’s so important to keep them healthy as they are “placeholders” for the permanent teeth that typically start erupting from around age six.

Our pediatric dental specialist recommends regular dental visits from babyhood to ensure your child is familiar and comfortable with dental office visits. Regular checkups can help to identify any issues, increasing the likelihood they can be fixed early in life. Preventive care includes regular professional dental cleanings and the application of a fluoride varnish to protect against decay. Our friendly team can also provide guidance to parents and carers about at-home hygiene routines, so your child can develop healthy dental habits that last a lifetime.

Dr. Taylor-Griffith is fantastic, and her staff is very sweet to my four year old son. He needed extensive dental work, and thanks to everyone, he did great. He loves going to the dentist!

Dental Sealants

AN EFFECTIVE SOLUTION TO PREVENT DECAY AND CAVITIES

Dental sealants are a common treatment for children. A thin coating is applied to the top surface of the back molars, where 80% of cavities occur. This prevents food particles and harmful bacteria from getting stuck in the fissures of the teeth where it is particularly hard to clean. The sealants make cleaning much easier as they create a smooth surface, which helps to prevent decay and cavities. The sealants are clear or white, so they blend in with a child’s natural smile.

Tooth-colored Fillings

A NATURAL-LOOKING TREATMENT FOR CAVITIES

Tooth-colored fillings are made of composite resin. They are a natural-looking alternative to the amalgam fillings of the past. Used primarily to fill cavities and areas of decay, these fillings help restore a natural tooth and prevent further problems with decay. They will blend in beautifully with your child’s smile. Tooth-colored fillings are particularly useful for those teeth that are very visible at the front, but they can be used on any teeth.

Dental Bonding

FIXING MINOR DAMAGE IN ONE SIMPLE PROCEDURE

Dental bonding is a simple procedure that can help treat a cracked, chipped, or moderately decayed tooth. Composite resin is applied to the damaged tooth and it is shaped to ensure it looks natural. Dr. Taylor-Griffith will then use a tool to harden the resin and “bond” it to the natural tooth. This helps to restore the form and function of the tooth and it can greatly improve the appearance of a damaged tooth.

Stainless Steel Dental Crowns

A DURABLE SOLUTION TO RESTORE A DAMAGED TOOTH

A dental crown is a “cover” that fits on top of a damaged tooth. It is very strong and helps to restore the tooth, preventing further damage from being sustained. We use stainless steel dental crowns for larger dental cavities where fillings and dental bonding will not be a suitable treatment. Crowns are very durable and offer excellent reinforcement for the tooth, allowing a child to keep their natural teeth as long as possible.

Sedation Dentistry

CALMING FEARS FOR ANXIOUS PATIENTS

Visits to the dentist can be a cause of anxiety for both children and adults, especially if they are new to dental visits. Children’s Dental Care Inc. offers sedation dentistry for patients who have extensive decay or complex dental problems that require significant time in the chair. It’s also available for very young patients who are not yet able to tolerate dental treatments or particularly nervous or anxious patients. We use IV sedation, which is administered in our office by a qualified anesthesiologist. Nitrous oxide is also available as a sedation option.

Insurance & Financing

We offer flexible payment options so your child can get the care they need, when they need it.

Children’s Dental Care Inc. accepts cash, certified checks, money orders, and Visa and MasterCard. We also accept most major dental insurance plans. Insurance policies do vary, but our team will provide you with an estimate for all costs prior to treatment.

No insurance?

CareCredit is an affordable financing option for dental treatment. This is a third-party financing option that offers a $0 down payment and low monthly payment options.
